Types of Online Bingo Bonuses

FreeChristmas 250x250 en USD

New players that sign up to an online bingo site will discover all sorts of fruitful promotions and offers. This is especially notable during Christmas time, when all of the biggest UK bingo sites promote their biggest offers on the TV and other forms of media. Some bingo sites even run unique adverts that enrapture the prizes and jackpots involved in bingo such as Jackpotjoy’s and Mecca Bingo’s latest TV advertisements.

When you sign up to bingo rooms, there are a number of different types of bonuses that you will be presented with online. The following guide is designed to explain what these different types of bonuses mean and whether or not they are good for you.

Online Bingo Bonus

Sign up Bonuses – Sign up bonuses are the most short term type of bonus which only scalpers will take advantage of. Sign up bonuses will give you £5 - £10 in free cash at bingo sites. You don’t need to make any deposits or give away your financial details. For example, at 888 Games you simply need to register an account and £5 will be credited into your account straight away. Foxy Bingo also offers a £10 free sign-up bonus which gives you access to more than £10,000 in jackpot bingo games.

The only downside to bingo sign up bonuses is that they are usually pretty small lump sums compared with deposit bonuses, and won’t last you very long.  There are also terms and conditions to limit withdrawing you free bonus.

Deposit Bonuses or “Match-up” Bonuses – Deposit bonuses give you free money based on the size of your initial deposit. Most deposit bonuses in bingo will match your first deposit form 100% up to 200%. The maximum bonus amount is usually limited at around £100 - £150. For example, at Foxy Bingo you’ll receive a 200% up to £100 bonus. If you deposit £10 than you’ll receive £20 in bonuses free.

The downside to bingo deposit bonuses is that they have very strict withdrawal requirements. At Foxy Bingo for example, you need to wager 2x your deposit and bonus amount before you can withdraw any bonus money. If you deposit £20 and receive £40 in bonuses then you’ll need to have spent a minimum of £120 in bingo tickets. If you try to make a withdrawal before this then you will lose all of your bonus money.

William Hill also offers a 250% bonus, giving you £25 when you deposit £10 or more. Unlike Foxy Bingo’s bonus, this is given to you straight away with no rollover requirements. It does have withdrawal requirements however.

Re-load Bonuses
– Re-load bonuses reward loyal bingo players who make re-deposits. They work just like regular deposit bonuses however cover every one of you future deposits (usually the amount is lower than first deposit bonuses). For example, Foxy Bingo and Moon Bingo both offer 50% re-load bonuses on all future deposits between £10 and £50. These are great for keeping players happy and treating them to more free bingo tickets and promotions in return to staying loyal to that bingo operator.
